However, there are cases where we collect personal data – you will know this data is being collected because you will have to directly provide it or fill out a form. When you donate to GMO Science or participate in its fundraising activities (collectively “Fundraising”) we need to know your contact information (including e-mail address) and payment information. This information is required so that we can authorize payment, process your donation and send confirmations. All Internet transactions with GMO Science are performed on a server that uses industry standard encryption technology to protect your payment account information from being intercepted by unauthorized third parties.
When you request information from us, participate in Fundraising activities or otherwise provide us with personal information, we automatically place you on our list to receive correspondence and e-mails regarding GMO Science updates, special offers and news on important issues. If you do not wish to receive these messages, you can simply utilize the opt-out method detailed in the message, respond to any email by telling us that you do not want to receive any future communications, or contact us at the contact points specified below.
We use the personal information that is collected through our website to better serve our users, customize their website experience, and improve the content of our website. Personal information that you provide to us will be used for marketing and promotional purposes only by GMO Science and its affiliates and fiscal sponsors.
